I never thought I would have to do this, but they've left me no choice

Despite my best efforts to delete sent mail that contains multimedia, there is no way that I can stave off the inevitable overfilling of my gmail account. I upgraded to 6GB for 20 dollars a year. My only question is what happens when free google accounts have 6GB of storage and I am still paying 20 dollars for this luxury?
